This "Fancy Nancy" cake was created for a very special little princess, "Sophia". Sophia loves her "Fancy Nancy" book and doll! What better way to celebrate her 7th Birthday but with a Fancy Nancy cake!

Fancy Nancy is a 2005 children's picture book written by Jane O'Connor and illustrated by Robin Preiss Glasser. It is the first book in the Fancy Nancy series.

Fancy Nancy is a wild, young girl with a larger than life personality, who adores all things fancy. She always dresses extravagantly, wearing boas, tutus, ruby slippers, fairy wings, and fuzzy slippers. Nancy loves using big fancy words such as "iridescent", "ecstatic", and "extraordinary" and anything in French. She has redecorated her bedroom with everyday items, such as feather boas, Christmas lights, paper flowers, and hats.

The cake represents the personality of Fancy Nancy such as feathers, butterflies and a tiara, plus Sophia's favorite colors of pink and purple. Confetti cake and buttercream icing with chocolate butterflies and a "Sophia" pink chocolate sucker.
