My sister Becki's "psychedelic" birthday cake

My younger sister, Becki requested for her birthday a vanilla psychedelic cake with buttercream icing and bathed in coconut flakes! This was so fun to create for her. Above we sang happy birthday to her as she blew out her "sparkler" candle!!

Happy Birthday

Noah's YO GABBA GABBA mini birthday cakes with a bed of cupcakes

Happy 2nd Birthday Noah!!(Yo Gabba Gabba in background!)

Noah celebrating his 2nd Birthday!!

Here Noah is checking out "Toodee"
I think he is amazed he is holding Toodee!
He stared at Toodee for the longest time, wondering how in the world?
(yes, that is his blue blankie he just cannot be away from)

Yo Gabba Gabba themed Birthday Mini Cakes with a bed of Cupcakes!!

6" round/2 layer each mini cakes
red velvet cake/cream cheese frosting
dark chocolate cake/ganache
psychedelic cake/vanilla bean buttercream
24 Cupcakes
dark chocolate cake/ganache
red velvet cake/cream cheese frosting

This was a very fun theme to create, especially because it was for a special little guy in my life, my youngest grandson Noah! He (along with his big brother Ethan) love to watch Yo Gabba Gabba and so the theme was decided. Fondant was used to decorate the mini cakes.

This is a great idea for a Yo Gabba Gabba fan in your life!
Just for you Noah,

Love, Mimi aka Ms. Chocolat

Happy Birthday Priscilla - Retro TV/Leave it to Beaver cake

My older sister, Priscilla (check her website out amazing artwork! just loves the show "Leave it to Beaver". She can watch the reruns over and over. Well, her birthday was coming up earlier this week and I thought what can I do to make her day extra special? So, with the help of her oldest daughter Janelle, the idea of a "Leave it to Beaver" theme was decided! Then my mind started rolling and I thought wow let me try this, and here it is! French vanilla cake filled with fresh raspberry filling iced with chocolate buttercream! Delish! Happy Birthday Pris!
